Past projects
Drexel Elementary School Free Book Fair
Since 2021, we have proudly organized an annual free book fair at Drexel Elementary School, a school in Cicero that serves many children from under‑resourced families. This initiative was born out of a desire to ensure that every child, regardless of financial circumstances, has access to the joy and opportunity that books provide. Each year, we rally support from our community by hosting book drives across multiple middle and elementary schools in the area, encouraging students and families to contribute to the cause. The response has been extraordinary: to date, we have collected more than five thousand books, with an estimated value of nearly seventy‑five thousand dollars. These donations have placed stories, knowledge, and inspiration directly into the hands of young learners. Every single book has played a role in sparking curiosity, strengthening literacy, and advancing the education of elementary school students who might otherwise go without. Through this effort, we are not only providing resources but also nurturing a culture of learning and empowerment that will benefit these children for years to come.
Cooking At The Loyola Ronald McDonald House
The Ronald McDonald Houses are a well‑known charitable organization, supported in large part by McDonald’s, that provides comfort and care to families with children undergoing medical treatment in hospitals. These houses serve as a vital resource for families who often face financial and emotional strain, offering them a place to stay close to their child’s bedside without the added burden of costly expenses such as parking and lodging. Since June 2025, our team has been committed to easing that burden further by preparing and serving meals twice each month. By providing nourishing food in a welcoming environment, we not only help relieve the stress of daily living but also create moments of warmth and community for families navigating some of the most difficult times of their lives. Through these efforts, we strive to ensure that families can focus on what matters most — supporting their children — while knowing that their basic needs are being cared for with compassion.

Our Future Plans
In the future, our focus will be on growth and sustainability, achieved by recruiting and empowering more volunteers to join our mission. By scaling up our operations, we will be able to extend our reach, broaden the impact of our programs, and serve a greater number of individuals in need. While our current team has accomplished meaningful work, we recognize that our capacity is limited, and that true transformation requires collective effort. With more hands and hearts dedicated to the cause, we can amplify the good we do, strengthen our presence in the community, and ensure that support reaches those who need it most. Our vision is not only to expand in numbers, but also to deepen the quality of care and compassion we provide, creating lasting change for the people we serve.
